A huge loss: Diogo Jota’s death in a Car accident

On Thursday, 3 July 2025, Diogo Jota and his brother Andre Silva died in a disastrous car accident that took place near Zamora, Spain, in the region of Sanabria. Diogo Jota was born on 4th December 1996 in Porto, Portugal. He is just 28 years old. The Portuguese international player Diogo Jota, along with Andre Silva, is a professional football player. 

The incident happened in the early morning at the local time of 00:40 in Cernadilla. The overtaking may have led to a loss of control. The Lamborghini veered off A-52, causing a car to catch fire.

Diogo Jota is married to Rute Cardoso, and they have 3 children. Weeks after they married, Jota died. He shares a post on social media, “Yes To Forever.” It’s a devastating situation for his wife, family, and fans.
