Justin Bieber’s ‘Swag’: A Bold Comeback with Emotional Depth and Star-Studded Collaborations

Swag

July 11, 2025

Beliebers, the wait is over! I’m thrilled to announce that my seventh studio album, Swag, drops today, July 11, 2025, via Def Jam Recordings. It’s been four years since Justice hit the charts in 2021, and I’ve poured my heart and soul into this project. This album is a reflection of my growth as an artist, a husband, and a father, and I can’t wait for you to experience it. Here’s everything you need to know about Swag—from its creation to its tracklist and the incredible artists who joined me on this journey.

The Journey to Swag

Life has changed a lot since Justice. Becoming a dad to my son, Jack Blues Bieber, and navigating new chapters in my personal and professional life inspired me to create something real and raw. I started working on Swag in early 2023, hosting jam sessions at my Los Angeles home with some of the most talented people I know—my longtime DJ Tay James, musical director HARV, SZA collaborator Carter Lang, and Australian artist Eddie Benjamin. We vibed, experimented, and let the music flow naturally.

In April 2025, I took a trip to Iceland’s Flóki Studios at Deplar Farm to put the finishing touches on the album. The serene Nordic environment was the perfect backdrop to lock in and create something special. I collaborated with some amazing artists and producers, including U.K. singer-songwriter Sekou and producer Dylan Wiggins, who’s worked with Kali Uchis and The Weeknd. I even reached out to new talents I discovered on social media, sliding into their DMs to bring them into the fold. The result? A 20-track album that’s both introspective and fun, blending pop, R&B, and fresh sounds that push my boundaries as an artist.

The Meaning Behind Swag

You might be wondering about the title Swag. It’s a nod to my early days when I was that kid with the purple drip, full of confidence and energy. But this isn’t about chasing my Baby era—it’s about reclaiming that boldness with the maturity I’ve gained over the years. Swag is about owning who I am today: a husband, a father, and an artist who’s not afraid to be vulnerable. Tracks like “Dadz Love,” “Therapy Session,” and “Forgiveness” dive into my experiences with fatherhood, mental health, and personal growth. Others, like “Go Baby” and “Sweet Spot,” are those feel-good vibes that put you in a zone just to ride out and enjoy.

The album artwork, featuring me with my wife, Hailey, and our son, Jack, is a statement in itself. It’s about family, love, and staying grounded amidst the chaos. Hailey’s been my rock through this process, hyping up the project and even throwing some shade at the haters with her Instagram posts (you know the one: “Is it finally clocking to you f***ing losers?”). This album is as much for her and Jack as it is for my fans.

The Tracklist and Collaborations

Swag is a 20-song journey, and I’m proud to share the full tracklist with you. I revealed it through billboards in cities like New York’s Times Square, Los Angeles, Atlanta, and Reykjavik, Iceland, because I wanted to make this moment big for my fans. Here’s what you’re getting:

  1. All I Can Take
  2. Daisies
  3. Yukon
  4. Go Baby
  5. Things You Do
  6. Butterflies
  7. Way It Is (feat. Gunna)
  8. First Place
  9. Soulful (feat. Druski)
  10. Walking Away

  16. 405
  17. Swag (feat. Cash Cobain)
  18. Zuma House
  19. Too Long
  20. Forgiveness

This album is packed with incredible features. I teamed up with Gunna, Sexyy Red, and Cash Cobain, who bring their unique flavors to the project. Druski’s on two tracks, including “Therapy Session,” which riffs on that viral moment of me telling off the paparazzi—remixed like a TikTok sound for some fun energy. Dijon and Lil B also join me, adding soul and depth to songs like “Devotion” and “Dadz Love.” On the production side, I worked with heavyweights like Andrew Watt, who’s been with me since Purpose, and Mk.gee, who helped craft “Daisies.” These collaborations pushed me to explore new sounds while staying true to the pop core that’s always been my foundation.

What to Expect from Swag

Musically, Swag is my boldest project yet. It’s got everything from introspective ballads to tracks that’ll make you want to dance. Songs like “Soulful” and “Glory Voice Memo” lean into emotional depth, while “Swag” and “First Place” bring that confident, high-energy vibe. I wanted to balance the deep, meaningful songs with ones that are just fun—tracks you can play on a road trip or at a party to lift your mood.

Thematically, this album is a diary of where I’m at in life. “Dadz Love” is for my son, Jack, and captures the overwhelming love I feel as a father. “Therapy Session” is about my mental health journey, and “Forgiveness” is about finding peace after years of ups and downs. I’ve been through a lot—health challenges, public scrutiny, and changes in my team—and this album is my way of processing it all while celebrating the good.

A New Chapter

Releasing Swag feels like a fresh start. I’ve parted ways with my longtime manager, Scooter Braun, and I’m charting my course with a close-knit team that shares my vision. I also launched my new fashion brand, SKYLRK, on the same day as the album announcement, because I’m all about creating in every way possible. And here’s a little teaser: Swag might be the first of more music to come. I’ve been in the studio nonstop, and there’s another, more pop-driven album in the works.
