New Boeing F-47 US Fighter Jet—What We Know So Far

It gives me great pleasure to inform you that the United States Air Force is advancing with the sixth-generation fighter jet from about under my command. Sixth, number. Sixteenth generation. Not one thing on earth comes even near that. And it’ll be known as the F-47. The generals chose a title; the number is really lovely. F- 47. Regarding all the characteristics of a fighter jet, it’s something… the likes of which nobody has seen before.
From speed to maneuverability to what it can have to payload, nothing even quite close to it exists. And this has been under development for a protracted length of time. Following intense and exhaustive competition among some of America’s leading aerospace companies, Boeing will be receiving the contract for the next-generation air dominance platform from the Air Force. As you are aware, it was quite sought for.
Generals, there was intense rivalry, and this has been going on for a long time. Extremely strong competition. But figures on this plane are unlike anything else anyone has ever seen. None other country exists. Each other plane is known to us. I have seen each of them personally. And it is not even near. This approaches next level. Level five is very good, you know. They claim, this is level six.
Modern stealth technology comes standard on the F-47. It is nearly invisible. And unheard-of power. It has the most power of any jet of its sort ever built. Maneuverability is also the — despite the power and speed, there has never been anything like it. Its speed is top; it’s over two, which you hardly hear very often.
America’s adversaries never will see it approaching. You have to have it even if hopefully we won’t need it for that. And should it ever occur, they would not know what the devil hit them. We will make sure the USA keeps taking front stage in the heavens. We have ordered plenty here. We cannot inform you the cost since it would reveal something. It would allow some of the plane’s size and some of the technology, good-sized plane.
Additionally reflecting a historic commitment in our defense industrial base, this contract helps to keep America on the forefront of aerospace and technology. Constantly phoning are our allies. They also want to buy them. And some of our allies will be selling them, maybe toned-down variations. We would want to tone them down approximately 10 percent, which makes logical because that they might not be our allies. Today is a historic one.
For our United States Air Force as well, today is significant. You know, although it’s not a birthright, air dominance has come to define American air capability. But every single day air superiority must be earned. Brave American airmen have also leaped into their machines, taken to the air, and cleared the heavens since the first days of aerial combat. We can also clear the route to the ground forces below so we may rain devastation on our adversaries from above.
That is truly our promise to America and our dedication to the struggle. And with this, F-47—the crown gem in the next generation air dominance family—we will be able to fulfill that promise well into the future. I also want to thank our engineers, who have worked nonstop on this program to deliver it where we are right now today, from both industry and with the government. Since this platform is second to none, this indicates that American talent, American skill, and American resolve are second to none.
What is F-47 Boeing?

This therefore seems to offer higher lethality. It offers more contemporary capability in a method that is meant to be flexible. This combined with our joint combat aircraft the President said with drones is enabling us to explore the future and release the magic of human machine teaming. And with this, we will be writing the next generation of contemporary aerial combat as we go. This lets us accomplish this.
The way we organize this program gives the government more authority so we may update and adjust—not at the speed of bureaucracy—at the speed of relevance, at the speed of technology. This corresponds more to Air Force. For the President, this presents more choices. As our United States Air Force goal is to fly, battle, and win air power anytime, anywhere. You have to have a platform that allows you anywhere you choose to travel to.
This gives the President choices from the very one end, which is a rapid response, and then we can get straight back into fighting attitude without having to deploy forces that are going to take perhaps months and cost additional lives. All the way to definitive triumph as part of a combined army the most lethal and capable military I have ever known in history, we can be back in fighting stance and maybe restore that deterrent.
Currently, that is what we offer. And this lets us bring it forward. It’s more capacity and more deterrent. Mr. President, it is what peace through strength embodies into the future. Trump said today that Boeing would produce this F-47 fighter jet for the Air Force. We’re discussing downsizing here. They are always quite costly, airplanes are. generally a boondoggle. Two trillion for the F-35, the F-22.
Twenty years of blunders and corruption and overruns. Yeah, they’re great planes, but if you think about how wars are fought in the future, very expensive manned aircraft are just not the thing that you want to spend all your time and money on. Simply said, it’s a major issue just waiting to occur. But I don’t know, maybe, Cedric, maybe you feel differently. Well, actually, you know, I think in part you’re right.
The one thing, Josh, that I found interesting is that the F-47 is supposed to kind of be a quarterback for a fleet of manned aircraft plus drones. So this is kind of their collaborative combat aircraft concept. So in addition to the next generation air dominance aircraft, which they’re not quite sure whether to categorize as a fighter or a bomber or both.
F-47 Boeing New Technology

They then have this collaborative combat aircraft system that they basically want to have an aircraft, a manned aircraft like the F-47 going out there, and then a fleet of drones that will then be directed, presumably, by the pilot in the F-47. Now, whether or not that actually happens, that is another story. That doesn’t sound expensive at all, right? I heard one version where the drones come out of the plane, like the plane has the drones, and then, I mean… I saw that one. Seems a little aspirational.
That’s an excellent film. You know, and the Chinese, they announced their Generation 6 fighter. That’s why they’re doing this, because the Chinese leaked the information about their fighter, so Trump has to combat it. So I get that in a propaganda kind of versus propaganda kind of way. But, I mean, let’s have a think about this before we spend another $2 trillion on plants. And the thing is, Boris and Brianna, the idea here really should be to synchronize your war plans, your strategies, the money that you spend.
Ideally. Ideally, with the types of technologies that you’re actually going to put out there. And Josh is absolutely right. The Chinese, what was it, about a month ago or so, they released videos of their purportedly sixth-generation aircraft flying around of very mysterious-looking planes that kind of fit the mold of what a sixth-generation aircraft should look like in terms of stealth capabilities and potential quarterback, I’ll call them, capabilities that you would have in a situation like this.
So these are exciting technologies, but they have to be managed properly, and this is where a Doge effort could potentially pay dividends. In a situation like this. You also have to wonder about Boeing itself, given some of the issues that the company has recently had.
