Pete Hegseth: A Leak Indicates A Threat To National Security. What Happened?

Pete Hegseth

We are reordering our priorities in the Indo-Pacific region to ensure that we are preventing future threats. President Trump has given that top priority. Crucially, we are rebuilding our military, restoring the warrior spirit, and finally reestablishing deterrents. We are so here to meet with the troops and, more importantly, to discuss with our commanders.

Ensuring a free future in this area will also depend critically on all across the Indo-Pacific and our allies and partners. We thus welcome our presence. On the plane, today is a lovely day and a full workday. We now have a full workday here as well, and I’m looking forward to it.

Could you kindly let the Atlantic’s reporters know how your knowledge of military strategies against the Houthis in Yemen was communicated and whether those specifics were classified?

You are referring to a dishonest and widely discredited so-called journalist who has repeatedly peddled hoaxes time and time again, including the “I’m not sure, Russia, Russia, Russia, or the great people on both sides hoax, or the fools and losers hoax.  This is the person who sells trash.

He follows this. I would be happy to offer observations on the Houthi movement. Owing in great part to our troops’ bravery and expertise. From the start, I have kept quite a close observation of it.  And how did you find out that the targets were known to a journalist together with the kind of weaponry used?

I have heard I have a certain quality. Nobody was texting strategies for war. And that is all I have to say about it.  Thank you. And there is the plane of Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, who, from what we know, simply landed in Hawaii on a multi-stop trip to Asia. Stopping first in Hawaii, they are.

Hegseth will then travel to Guam, then I think to the Philippines and Japan.  Her name, Kingsley Wilson, is mentioned by the deputy press secretary from the Pentagon.  Right now, therefore, is what we are all wGuam, andor: whether or not Hegseth will react to the Atlantic report. He is live.

Recall, he was guiding the group message on that signal thread.  Let us listen here.  This is a vacation we took, and I’ll tell you this.  I’ll tell you something: from the start, this is a trip we have scheduled on the calendar.  Indo-Pacific, reordering priorities to ensure we’re preventing future threats.  President Trump has given that top priority.

Indo-Pacific , Our Allies And Partners
National Security

Crucially crucial are restoring the warrior spirit, strengthening our armed forces, and finally reestablishing deterrents. We are therefore here to visit with the troops throughout the Indo-Pacific and more importantly to discuss with our commanders.  And then our allies and partners will also be very important in guaranteeing that this area’s future is free.  And so we’re happy to be.

Today is quite lovely. I spent the entire workday on the plane.  We now also have a full working day here. This is therefore a guy who pedals garbage. He operates like this.  Given the bravery and talent of our soldiers, I would want to offer remarks on the Houthi campaign. From the start, I have watched it quite attentively.

And you see, during the Trump administration, we have been handling four years of postponed upkeep. Our soldiers were targets for gunfire; our sailors were also being fired upon. Our ships were unable to move through. And when they did respond with a shot back, it was just defensive or toward shacks in Yemen. No more was said by President Trump. We will reinstate the deterrent.

We shall open freedom of navigation. And last, we will completely wipe out the Houthis—exactly what we have been doing thus far, mostly. Why were those specifics revealed on Signal? And how did you come to know that a journalist knew the targets, and the kinds of weapons utilized I have heard I was defined. And more and more comments from both Republicans and Democrats are flooding in now.

On Capitol Hill, a few Democrats are advocating for the FBI. We need to investigate this matter further. A little bit later tonight, we will be talking about some of the national security ramifications this specific narrative raises.

But you heard in Hegseth’s remarks that he adopted the line we have been advocating today, stating that the campaign against Houthi targets in Yemen has been successful, and He was effectively saying no matter who was on this specific Signal app group communication with so many vital targets, The national security team includes officials from the Trump White House.

Political Fallout And USA Military

Military Leaks

This is hence an evolving narrative. It’s developing. And we would appreciate your comments on this very narrative here in the meantime. I would want to put this question forward. Study this. All right.

Should a Trump administration official suffer repercussions for these military plan leaks? You can now respond yes or no, or perhaps we are too early in telling this narrative. Possibly, it is too early to know. We would like your remarks regarding this narrative. Depending on how the news cycle develops, we know that this narrative—that sort of jargon in journalism—is going to have legs and be discussed again and time again during the week. Still, we’ll try our best.

We are presenting this narrative to you. And we will be emphasizing all sides of this narrative. We also want to pause momentarily for a commercial break. But when we return, we have plenty more top headlines to cover. We will have access to them.

But we also want to sort of queue once more, re-rack some of those remarks Hegseth made there just moments ago after landing in Hawaii. Remember, he is on an Asian multi-day, multi-country trip. He is on a tour of Guam. He is in the Philippines. He is also in Japan. We are in a new hour now. As I mentioned, Monday marks our start on this. Two minutes later, I will see you.

According to the AP, Governor J.B. Pritzker sits at a table surrounded by University of Illinois researchers who would shortly be out of work. Their lab is scheduled to close next month and lose federal financing. One researcher expressing her sense of government betrayal turns to praise Pritzker.

One has so much to choose from here. To what do most people respond? Most of what worries them is  The cuts influencing those they know personally or on behalf of. Just the other day, you know, I was among farmers. We discussed their actions concerning the agricultural community in my state.

Among Illinois’ several sectors, this is among the biggest ones. We are the leading soybean growers in the United States. You also mentioned the soybean innovation lab and the layoffs occurring there. It goes beyond only the folks let go. They were shielding our soybean sector then.

We are shipping soybeans and selling them all over the world in a multimillion-dollar business. And that small lab, with perhaps 70 or 80 persons worldwide and in Illinois, However, what they are doing is shielding our soybeans grown in the United States from red leaf blotch, which might wipe out 50 or 75 percent of our crop. That would be quite detrimental to our sector.

However, they are also opening soybean markets all around for our products. And Elon Musk does not know about that either. Doge is not knowledgeable about that. And all they see is yet another program they could slash.

Therefore, these people and the many, many others who are on the ground farming—small farmers as well as our large agricultural corporations—are going to suffer; the United States economy is going to suffer as a result of this poor decision taken by people who know nothing about agriculture, particularly Elon Musk. You are interacting with individuals here.

You are listening to their tales. One of the things we have heard a little bit about is that, with this funding bill, which has major cuts in Medicaid and other programs, there is some frustration out there about what is happening in Washington, and Senate Democrats are not fighting harder the way people see it. You have heard something like that.

And if you do, how would you respond to people? To be clear, several Democrats are working hard; one of them is Tammy Duckworth, one of my senators, who has been out there advocating the ongoing resolution and the cuts the Republicans are suggesting. Not. She also stated it loudly and clearly throughout the voting process.

And yeah, there were, what, eight, nine, or ten Democrats in the Senate who voted the wrong way? There were also a significant number of Democrats who voted against their interests. And I have been upfront; I strongly disagree with what they did. Most Democrats, though, are acting ethically.

Furthermore, on the ground, people are experiencing that we have to fight harder. People’s voices must be heard. They must observe Condit and vote against what Republicans are trying to do to veterans and the downing of their policies. He declined the invitation to be there. And that is precisely what is occurring. The Republicans are ignoring the situation.

Knowing that Congress is supposed to handle this, they want Elon Musk and Donald Trump to do the dirty work for them. Republicans, meanwhile, want no one to know they are the ones doing it. They want to let the unelected, richest person in the world handle it. Elon Musk here it is. Before I let you do them. Daily events abound. It would have gone overseas if someone who wanted to maybe get something out of it had been on that chain.

Other people would have been shown it. The Hout would have known that our pilots and men were on their way. And their life would have vanished. This is not, you know, we’re not joking around anymore.

You know, the uncertainty they are generating, the anarchy they are causing—the Trump administration, that is, is now gone to the Defense Department, our intelligence agencies, and is being implemented so that our military is put at risk and our national security is threatened. This is intolerable anymore. Pete Hegseth, everyone knows he is unfit to be the defense secretary, is in charge here. Donald Trump needs to fire Pete Hegseth.
