RuPaul’s Drag Race star Jiggly Caliente has died at the age of 44. Her family shared the news of her passing on social media on Sunday, just days after they’d announced that she was facing a, quote, serious health setback. Their statement began, It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Bianca Castro-Arabejo, known to the world and cherished by many as Jiggly Caliente.Â
Bianca passed away peacefully on April 27, 2025, at 4.42 a.m., surrounded by her loving family and close friends. Jiggly’s family went on to remember her as a quote, luminous presence in the world of entertainment and advocacy, writing, Jiggly Caliente was celebrated for her infectious energy, fierce wit, and unwavering authenticity.Â
She touched countless lives through her artistry, activism, and the genuine connection she fostered with fans around the world. Her legacy is one of love, courage, and light. Though her physical presence is gone, the joy she shared and the space she helped create for so many will remain forever. She will be deeply missed, always,is loved and eternally remembered.Â
News of her passing comes days after her family had announced that she had experienced a major health challenge over the past month. They wrote in part at the time, due to a severe infection, she was hospitalized and, as a result, has undergone the loss of most of her right leg. Jiggly first rose to fame competing on the fourth season of RuPaul’s Drag Race in 2012, coming in eighth place.
Years later, she competed for a spot in the Hall of Fame on season six of RuPaul’s Drag Race All-Stars, where she finished in 12th. Jiggly later became a judge on Drag Race Philippines and also stepped into acting, appearing as Veronica Ferocity on the FX series Pose. Following news of her death, Jiggly was remembered on social media by many fans and loved ones, including members of her Drag Race family. Michelle Visage wrote, “‘My heart, my soul, my jiggles. I will always love you.'”
Jujubee shared, I love you, my sister. I will forever remember our giggles together. I’m so grateful we met this lifetime. Laganja Estranja wrote, so heartbreaking, such a kind, caring soul. She will be greatly missed. Jinx Monsoon wrote in part, Jiggly was so much person in one little body. She lived her life exactly how she wanted to, never taking a moment of it for granted.
She always reminded me to be grateful for every little gift our blessed lives gave us. And Bag of Chips shared, one of the most kindest, sweetest souls I’ve ever met. I’m gonna miss you beautiful. Thank you for always being so lovely. Rest easy legend. Sending your family so much love right now.Â
